Job Responsibilities

Job Duties

  • Formulate, update, and implement operational risk management related policy and procedures
  • Support the implementation of operational risk assessment, review key risk indicators to analyze any business specific risk factors and monitor action plans
  • Provide guidance and liaise with business and functional units to implement the risk tools to identify, assess, mitigate, control and report key operational risk at Bank and departmental level to ensure appropriate action plan is formulated, to address control gaps and propose changes and recommendation on operational risk practice, procedures and measures
  • Review operational risk assessment of new products / services, enhanced processes, outsourcing initiatives etc., provide comments from operational risk management perspective
  • Deliver operational risk management training to promote staff risk awareness
  • Coordinate and participate in ad hoc assignment in relation to operational risk management requested by Head Office, senior management or department head
  • Review outsourcing initiative as a subject matter expert of op risk management
  • Ensure the compliance of HKMA SPM SA-2 as well as internal requirements for outsourcing management

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree or above with major in Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration or other business related is preferred
  • CPA, CFA or FRM holder would be an advantage
  • 5-7 years experience of banking experience including 3-5 years relating operational risk management or internal controls
  • Good understanding of HKMA and Basel requirements on operational risk management, and of the knowledge for outsourcing
  • Solid knowledge on risk management and internal control processes and practices
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with questioning mindset
  • Proficient in spoken and written English & Chinese (including Putonghua)
  • Less experience will be considered as Deputy Manager
